Tacos Don Jose: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Longmont, CO

Great service and authentic food, ive had the carne asada torta with fries, carne asada plate and enchiladas.The tacos are also good carne asada, barbacoa and lengua are my favorites. Ive yet to taste the tripas but ive heard they're also good. Definitely give them a try. The prices are great and quality is also very good. Recently tried their Menudo a few times and have to say it's one of the best if not the best I've had in a restaurant anywhere. I very much enjoy their gorditas btradional with the main filling and beans and sometimes lettuce. Since the food is great you get to taste the food and the quality of the masa of the gorditas. Usually would order chile verde mostly and recently tried their chicharron an dita been amazing. I highly recommend Don Jose's if you want to try home style authentic food.

Just brings me back to my days in East L.A. ordering food from a menu written in all Spanish. Really great food and one of the few places you cna get good pork chili Verde without potatoes

Great time inside the store. I wasn’t there for long and the the cashier and workers made sure my order was actually correct before charging me. The tortillas or pretty good nothin special but the salsas are amazing pair for these great tacos. I got the carne asada and it can definitely rival other taco shops in the area. The horchata is some of the best I’ve had in Longmont on this side of town atleast. Not too cinnamony not too milky just right and great prices will definitely be coming again

Enchiladas were very good with fresh veggies in top! I called in two meals to go and they were ready quickly. I didn’t have a chance to snap a pic of my husbands torta, as he ate it too quickly.

We absolutely LOVE the food! It is incredibly flavorful as well as addicting! Our favorites are the green salsa, pork green chili, rice, beans and the tortillas! We come every week! Kim is so nice and knows our order! Great service from all!

The best tacos I’ve had in town yet! The food is five stars. The service is 1 star. 35+ min wait for some street tacos, and the restaurant was kind of dirty. If you choose this restaurant, consider placing the order ahead and taking it to go. Will def be coming back for the street though.

Best Mexican food we have found in NoCo since moving here from SoCal. Most Authentic tasting Mexican food we've had in Colorado (not TexMex or smothered with green chili). Have been going regularly for the past year and have never had to wait long for our food whether eating in or to go. I waited 20 minutes one time for my to go order that was the only time, not a huge sacrifice when I'm craving authentic sopes, hechos a mano, de chicharron. Yes, there are some things that they don't have like Mole and their shredded chicken was so salty one time that I couldnt eat it once, whoever was making it that day must have forgotten & salted twice. The staff has always been very nice & helpful. We've tried almost everything on their menu now and have been very satisfied. The Asada is consistently good and so is the lengua. We even ordered 10lbs of it once for a lunch we were hosting that I didnt have time to make it myself for. Will continue to go unless we find a better place closer to us, but I doubt we will.

If I could rate them a 1,000 ⭐ I would . The food taste so Fresh, It was so Hot and De~lish as I would say . I haven’t had any Great food like this since I was back home in New Jersey/ Philadelphia. My Coworkers love it here and I can see why . Awesome n Friendly service . Thank y’all so much *** Oh n the Owner was there he was really nice as well .
